Then I will give a quick personal response to my thoughts on this week’s Legion Q&A! And if you hold out until the very end of the show, you can find out new ways you can support the show!

Either way, it’s going to be Epic!

Overview of the Show:

Ever listen to a podcast and wish they talked about what YOU wanted to hear about? Well now is your chance! Each and every week I’m going to sit down and do just that. With Season Two of the Epic Questions podcast, I take YOUR Blizzard Entertainment game questions and bring a different perspective to each and every one of them. Here at the Epic Questions Podcast, no question goes unanswered, and no listener goes unheard.

Asking Questions just got a little more Epic.

What’s Different With Season Two:

Season 2 of Epic Questions is going to be a little more discussion focused. Previously on the show, we answered every questions we received. As much as we love questions, it became hard answering the same questions we had just answered a few weeks prior, or just last week. So you control the show, and how often it is produced. A new Episode will be recorded as soon as we receive 5-10 solid questions to answer on the show. Questions will be reviewed by the hosts then hand selected for the next Episode.

Previously the show was only answered World of Warcraft based questions. But this time around, we are going to deep dive into the whole Blizzard Universe. But have no fear, the episodes will be split into two different categories: World of Warcraft Only, & Blizzard Entertainment. This will make it so you folks that only want to hear Warcraft discussion don’t have to skip through episodes to find the information you want to hear.

From time to time, the show will invite special guests to help with some or all questions on different topics, so if you have anyone you want to hear from, let us know!

Epic Answers:

Welcome to the Epic Answers portion of the show! This is the part of the show where I take questions submitted by members of the Warcraft Community for the Legion Q&A and give a quick recap to each and every answer given by Blizzard.

Question: Any plans to make Balance of Power skins account wide? Can we expect to see further alt catch-up mechanisms?

Question: No hidden shadow appearance after 30 Il’gynoth kills – when is bad luck protection coming?

Question: Were 7.1.5 secondary weight changes successful?

Question: What is the reason behind making second trait on relics another layer of RNG?

Question: Any chance we can see more relic drops/options? Currently choosing by ilvl, would be nice to choose by trait.

Question: How come legendary items don’t change effects with the specialization, just like Tier sets?

Question: Any plans for reducing the large barrier to spec-swapping presented by Legendaries? Having multiple Legendaries for a single slot is another mechanic that makes it difficult to play multiple specs.

Question: Any plans on buffing underperforming legendaries? Enhancement bracers for example do literally nothing right now.

Question: Plans to fix unlucky players with legendaries being benched with raids?

Question: What are plans for craftable legendaries? Do you think there will be more than the 4 in 7.2?

Question: Why do  developers insist on making AP a long term system when it has so much effect on the game?

Question: Wouldn’t it be better to make AP class wide? Why must I gather all AP from the beginning for every spec’s weapon and stay far behind according to other players?

Question: What will happen with Suramar AP rewards if 7.0 AP items are unusable?

Question: Any plans to extend Artifact knowledge catch up in 7.2 to follow same trend as compendiums in 7.1.5?

Question: Tier 20 Set bonuses seem lackluster, why?

Question: Since there are now 6 pieces for each tier set, are players expected to wear 2pc vs 4 pc combinations in 7.2?

Question: Do you intend to release better Tank Trinkets?

Question: What is the design idea behind the new group buffing traits?

Question: Mythic raiders seem to be burning out faster than ever due to the grind, any plans to address that?

Question: Some WQ do not feel worth it – eg gold rewards. Have you considered different rewards – eg one that has a WF version of the item?

And to wrap up the show, Epicinsanity gives a personal response to the Q&A.

End of Questions:

But that’s all the time I have for questions this week, but have no fear, I’ll have more to go over in the next episode of the Epic Questions Podcast. Now on Patreon!

Become a Patron!

Hello Nerdz!

Over the past four years of podcasting, we have been asked on many different occasions on how people can directly support the show. Outside of spreading the word, retweeting, and telling your mothers best friends nieces nephews dog to listen to the show, some times people want to take their dedication to the Epic Questions to the next level.

Instead just adding a PayPal donate button to the website, or making shady deals in dark alleys with listeners we’ve decided to launch something a little more official. And that’s where Patreon comes in.

What is Patreon?

Patreon is a way for content creators to get paid for creating the content they are already creating (podcasts, videos, & more). Instead of having advertisements on the show from sponsors, Patreon gives fans a direct way to support their favorite content creators with as little as $1 per month! Patreon gives content creators the freedom to keep creating the content you love without having to worry about the cost of creating it! By supporting your favorite content creator, you become a Patron of the arts.

This patreon will collectively support the Frozen Nerdz Podcast, the Epic Questions Podcast, and any other projects that may arise! With the support of this Patreon, you will be directly supporting the creation of future content funded and directed by you the Patron on the show!

All Patrons of the show will be added to our Patreon community and will have direct contact with us even more than most of you already have on Twitter, in-game, or beyond. This elite community of Nerdz will help the direction of our show, future content, merchandise, giveaways, and more. We’d love to have you as part of our inner nerd circle if you are willing to join!

If you are interested in supporting our Patreon, you can check it out here!

If you aren’t interested in supporting the show via Patreon there are other ways of supporting us! Check out our “Support the Show” page here!

We also want it to be known… The show will continue with -or- without Patreon. Nothing will be added behind a pay wall, all of our content will still be available to everyone each and every week 100% for free just like it has been for the past 4 years. But Patreon gives us the ability to create more different better produced content for you. You are our main focus. And that doesn’t change!

Below you will find our most frequently asked questions (more added once asked), our milestone goals, and our pledging and reward tiers!

Thanks for reading and thanks in advance for any support you may be able to provide!

The Epic Questions Patreon Frequently Asked Questions (FAQ):

Here is a collective list of frequently asked questions about our Patreon. If you don’t find an answer here, please do not hesitate to talk to us directly via email (IceBox@FrozeNerdz.com).

Why Patreon?

Even before the creation of Epic Questions, we had been contacted by numerous listeners wanting to support the show. Since we haven’t had any formal way to track, or reward those that have given to the show, we wanted to create a Patreon in order to give back to those that take the pledge to give back to us.

Not everyone understands the behind the scenes process of podcasting. So here is a quick breakdown on how it works for us for each episode.

In order for our episodes to into the hands and ears of our listeners, we upload them to a web host server to be stored. When you download an episode via iTunes/Stitcher, you are downloading it directly from our web host. In order to have this storage, we pay a monthly service fee in order make that possible. Over the years, this fee has been covered by the hosts of the show, and will continue to be covered even if the Patreon isn’t successful. Currently, our monthly costs include: Web hosting, web domain fees, web security, and podcast hosting. The total of these fee’s is around $100 per month.

In order to keep the podcast focused 100% on Blizzard Entertainment games and not interrupted by hearing from our latest sponsor, we’ve decided to start a Patreon. Patreon gives listeners a safe and convenient way to help cover those costs while receiving rewards in return.

Even with the pledge of $1 per month, would mean the world to us. If you break it down, it’s $0.25 per show or $12 per year. You can pledge for $1 for one month, or $1 per month until the end of time.

What if the Patreon isn’t successful?

The creation of Frozen Nerdz / Epic Questions content will not change. Nothing with the show will change, besides the possibility of advertisements, no matter the success of this Patreon. If we raise $0, or…. OVER 9000! nothing will change with the show. We will still release a new Episode every Tuesday. Epicinsanity will still try to release new episodes of Knights of Ebon once every leap year, new episodes of Epic Questions every Thursday and new videos on YouTube when we have the time to create them!

What if there is extra money?:

Each and every dollar raised via Patreon will be put right back into creating video game content. Once the bills have been paid, the rest will be funneled right back into the show.

Once we reach a milestone goal, any extra pledged funds will be saved for future month’s expenses. If we receive a sufficient amount, we would use it to upgrade our equipment, purchase additional giveaways, etc.

What the money will NOT be used for?:

Not a single dollar will be used for anything outside of the show. For example, we will not be buying Christmas presents for our family, new toys for our pets, or a year’s supply of RedBull for Epicinsanity. After we receive our payments from Patreon, we will be releasing a monthly newsletter which will include a transparent financial statement showing Patrons exactly how the money is being spent. Our main focus is to be 100% transparent with our Patrons with our finances to show that the money is being spent in a effective way.

If you have made it this far, we want to thank you from the bottom of our hearts for taking the time to read everything about our Patreon!

Our Patreon Milestone Goals:

Milestone #1: $100 – 100% Ad Free

All of our current expenses (Webhosting, Podcast Hosting, Web Security, etc) are covered! If this milestone is met, you will never hear an advertisement for any product and/or service we’ve received money from on our shows!

Milestone #2: $150 – Monthly Giveaways

This milestone would give us the ability to start giving back to our Frozen Nerdz community with a monthly giveaway!  As well as giving us the ability to support YOUR favorite content creators on Patreon via our own pledges!

Milestone #3: $250 – Additional Merchandise on our Store

This milestone would allow us to be able to commission an artist/graphic designer to help create a variety of different types of new merchandise for our store!

Milestone #4: $500 – Live Recorded Episodes with Video

If this milestone is met, it would give us the ability to upgrade more equipment in order to record our shows live with video. You’ve been warned, these Nerdz have the face for radio!

Additional Milestones Added if Milestone #4 is met.

Epic Answers:

Response to S02E15  personal topic: Group Finding Tool.

Question from Krista via Email — So with the talks of Paragon reps coming in Patch 7.2 is it worth to start saving and stashing the rep token we get from World Quests, and order hall missions?

Question from Jonathan via TwitterSo the second wing of Nighthold LFR is out, and people seem to be complete lost when it comes to mechanics on the fights…. Any tips or tricks?

Question from The Love Fool via Site ContactAnother stupid event is here. Why should I care about the Love is in the Air event if I already have the mount?

Epic’s Personal TopicThe WoW Token to Battle.net Balance.

Epic’s Thought Process:

World of Warcraft Sub Cost in 2004: $15 USD.
World of Warcraft Sub Cost in 2017: $15 USD.
After 10+ years, ZERO change. Same Price.

1 Gallon of Gasoline in US in 2004: $1.738 USD
1 Gallon of Gasoline in US in 2017: $2.49 USD
After 10+ years, increased $0.752

In 2004, your World of Warcraft Sub Cost $15 USD.
Due to inflation, your World of Warcraft sub should cost $19.06 USD today.

But why doesn’t it?
Because Blizzard is nice.
They didn’t increase the price.
They gave us the WoW Token.

That’s all the time I have for questions this week, but have no fear, I’ll have more to go over in the next episode of the Epic Questions Podcast. Send all questions to the show via Twitter, e-mail, Facebook, Ask.FM and beyond! Thanks in advance!

Epic Answers:

Question from Jonathan B. via Twitter: My work schedule doesn’t make it easy for me to find a group of like minded players to play with due to me working nights. It seems that most guilds are active during the evening and quiet during the day. Are my dreams of being a raider gone for ever, or what can I do?

Question from Krista via E-mail: I’ve been looking for a new guild to call home, but I’m having a problem of finding one that I like making it so that I am logging into the game less and less. Where should I go to find one? I’ve looked at your guild page, video, and recruitment threads. I’m interested, but scared you’re too serious for me.

Question from Bubba via Site Contact: I’ve been looking into getting into more serious raiding, but I’m annoyed that most guilds require that I have to fill out an application in order to join. I want a guild, not a second job. Why do guilds always seem to require that?

Question from Anonymous via e-mail: I’m writing today because I’ve been a guild master for the last two years, and have always had problems trying to recruit new people to join my guild. We are normal into some heroic progression guild, and it doesn’t seem like I can find people who actually want to join us. What do you suggest?

Epic’s Personal Topic: Creating groups in-game and out.
